Narrative:

We received a clearance to cross story intersection on the pullman 4 arrival into ord at 10000 ft and 320 KTS. Upon descent, we got real busy with checklists, flight attendant's announcements, and received a clearance to cross pappi at 8000 ft, then slow to 210 KTS. Upon reaching 8000 ft, we realized we were at 320 KTS. We immediately slowed and proceeded to destination without incident.

Title: FLC OF AN ACR MLG EXCEEDED AIRSPD RULE OF 250 KTS UNDER 10000 FT ALT DURING AN ARR STAR. THEY RECOGNIZED THEIR MISTAKE AFTER REACHING THEIR NEXT FIX 2000 FT BELOW WHEREIN THEY WERE REQUIRED TO REDUCE AIRSPD FURTHER.

UPON DSCNT, WE GOT REAL BUSY WITH CHKLISTS, FLT ATTENDANT'S ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND RECEIVED A CLRNC TO CROSS PAPPI AT 8000 FT, THEN SLOW TO 210 KTS. UPON REACHING 8000 FT, WE REALIZED WE WERE AT 320 KTS. WE IMMEDIATELY SLOWED AND PROCEEDED TO DEST WITHOUT INCIDENT.
