Narrative:

While taxiing to active runway, engine fire annunciator illuminated. I visually checked the right engine for fire and reported that I did not see evidence of a fire. The captain shut down the engine and instructed me to evacuate/evacuation the passenger (6) onto the taxiway. Police and fire rescue arrived, passenger were escorted back to the terminal and the aircraft was towed back to parking. Company maintenance was called, a mechanic and new aircraft were dispatched.

Title: CAPT OF A BEECH BE02 AIRLINER SHUT DOWN THE R ENG DURING TAXI OUT FOR TKOF WHEN THE ENG FIRE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. EVEN THOUGH THE FO DID NOT SEE ANY FIRE, THE CAPT ORDERED AN EVAC OF THE PAX AND HAD THEM TRANSPORTED TO THE TERMINAL. HE ALSO CALLED FOR THE FIRE RESCUE AND POLICE FOR BACK UP.

Narrative: WHILE TAXIING TO ACTIVE RWY, ENG FIRE ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED. I VISUALLY CHKED THE R ENG FOR FIRE AND RPTED THAT I DID NOT SEE EVIDENCE OF A FIRE. THE CAPT SHUT DOWN THE ENG AND INSTRUCTED ME TO EVAC THE PAX (6) ONTO THE TXWY. POLICE AND FIRE RESCUE ARRIVED, PAX WERE ESCORTED BACK TO THE TERMINAL AND THE ACFT WAS TOWED BACK TO PARKING. COMPANY MAINT WAS CALLED, A MECH AND NEW ACFT WERE DISPATCHED.
