Narrative:

On deadhead, the flight pushed 6 mins early causing us to break our 8 hour rest period (XX15 block in to block out). Company took us off rest of duty that period and put us into 9 hour 15 min rest period (minimum) again. The crew flying were told to not push before XX11 (8 hours) for crew rest, but must have thought that it was for them and not a deadheading crew and went ahead and pushed early.
