Narrative:

On aug/yy/98 shift mids I was assigned to aircraft xyz to accomplish #1 engine service on an A-5 check. I followed all job card procedures and no problems were found including no leaks after engine run. I worked the engine with an ETOPS qualified mechanic. I am not ETOPS qualified. When I returned to work on mids of aug/zz/98 I found out that I needed to be ETOPS qualified to work on primary system of an ETOPS aircraft. I informed my lead mechanic and foreman of the problem. Air carrier needs to incorporate ETOPS training to their indoctrination training for all new mechanics xferring into ZZZ maintenance.
