Narrative:

Upon climb out from atl evening of jul/mon/98, ZTL was (as usual) very busy. Atl asked us what our airspeed was and we responded, 'approaching 320 KIAS.' center then said 'hold 310 KTS or less for your climb' and we acknowledged this call. Center then said 'now fly 250' only and since we were talking about airspeed before, I slowed to 250 KTS. Prior to handoff center then said they wanted me to 'fly heading 250 degrees, now switch to center on xyz frequency.'
