Narrative:

Me and my trainee took a pointout about 10 mi northeast of iiu on a CL60/G(X) filed cvg-iiu-pxv-MOSEY5-stl, and filed for the high altitudes. We were working the low altitudes. At that time, there wasn't any traffic for the CL60/G(X) but around 10 mi west of iiu conflict alert was activated with a CL60/G(Y) northbound at FL220. Turns were issued by both high and low altitude controllers, but loss of separation was the result.
