Narrative:
While en route from mlb to sua I monitored the ATIS and was with ZMA at 5500 ft. I began my descent to pattern altitude and terminated radar service. At that time I glanced at the sectional and dialed in sua tower. I contacted the tower 7 NM to the north. The tower I was really talking to was ft pierce. I did not realize it until I was downwind and looked again at the frequency. I believe I made the mistake when I was switching from ZMA to the tower.
