Narrative:

About 40 mins after takeoff, the captain informed us that there was a problem with the right engine, but that it wasn't an emergency. They were in contact with dispatch and maintenance to see if we should divert to dallas. It was decided we would divert to dallas, the captain said there was no need to prepare for an emergency landing. On approach, all the power in the cabin went out and everything was dark. I didn't know for sure what was going on, but I began going through my evacuate/evacuation drills in my head. We landed without incident and then found out that we had lost all power in the right engine.
