Narrative:

While getting vectors for the back course approach I was told to call on 121.9 (ground control) once on the ground. The tower had closed. I told center I was final approach fix, gear down, then was too low to communicate any further. Normal landing. Attempted contact with center on 121.9 and center frequency as instructed by center to no avail. Put my aircraft away and went to the nearest phone 15 mins away. I called FSS to close out my flight plan. Then I received a call at home 45 mins later and was chewed out by a ZLA supervisor. I told him what I have stated on this form. As near as I can tell I did everything I was instructed to do, and called to close out my flight plan as soon as possible afterwards.
