Narrative:

I entered the avra valley traffic pattern on a 45 degree angle to left downwind for runway 12 and reported my position. Downwind, I reported #2 behind a cessna which I continued to follow around the pattern. Being behind the cessna, I went on an extended downwind, began to descend on approximately a 3/4 mi base, turned final, and reported a 1/2 mi. While on final, another aircraft reported base which should have been behind me. An aircraft on the ground called to the other aircraft and asked 'do you see the experimental on final.' there was no reply. I then reported again, 'on short final for runway 12.' again there was no reply. 2-3 seconds later I saw a C182 come out from under my left wing into my lower 10 O'clock position view. The plane was approximately 2 wingspans away, or about 50 ft vertically and horizontally. I applied full throttle into a climbing right turn. Once again the ground pilot radioed to me to be careful of the parachutist. I said 'thanks' and turned left crosswind back into the traffic pattern. After the left turn I requested the name of my god sent ground assistant to which he replied mr X, and that he would meet me at XX00 am at the restaurant if I wanted his name and the other plane's identify. I accepted over the radio. Through all this conversation there was no reply from the other aircraft. My low wing aircraft is a tandem two place, piloted from the rear seat. Several qualified witnesses on the ground offered their names for testimony.

Title: NMAC BTWN AN EXPERIMENTAL HOME BUILT LOW WING SMA, ON SHORT FINAL AT 200 FT ABOVE THE GND, AND A C182 ALSO ON SHORT FINAL, WITHIN 50 FT OFF TO THE L AND 50 FT BELOW. THE RPTR TOOK EVASIVE ACTION BY IMMEDIATELY MAKING A CLBING R TURN. HE WAS WARNED BY A GND OBSERVER OF THE OTHER ACFT'S PRESENCE AND TO WATCH OUT FOR PARACHUTIST.

Narrative: I ENTERED THE AVRA VALLEY TFC PATTERN ON A 45 DEG ANGLE TO L DOWNWIND FOR RWY 12 AND RPTED MY POS. DOWNWIND, I RPTED #2 BEHIND A CESSNA WHICH I CONTINUED TO FOLLOW AROUND THE PATTERN. BEING BEHIND THE CESSNA, I WENT ON AN EXTENDED DOWNWIND, BEGAN TO DSND ON APPROX A 3/4 MI BASE, TURNED FINAL, AND RPTED A 1/2 MI. WHILE ON FINAL, ANOTHER ACFT RPTED BASE WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN BEHIND ME. AN ACFT ON THE GND CALLED TO THE OTHER ACFT AND ASKED 'DO YOU SEE THE EXPERIMENTAL ON FINAL.' THERE WAS NO REPLY. I THEN RPTED AGAIN, 'ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 12.' AGAIN THERE WAS NO REPLY. 2-3 SECONDS LATER I SAW A C182 COME OUT FROM UNDER MY L WING INTO MY LOWER 10 O'CLOCK POS VIEW. THE PLANE WAS APPROX 2 WINGSPANS AWAY, OR ABOUT 50 FT VERTLY AND HORIZLY. I APPLIED FULL THROTTLE INTO A CLBING R TURN. ONCE AGAIN THE GND PLT RADIOED TO ME TO BE CAREFUL OF THE PARACHUTIST. I SAID 'THANKS' AND TURNED L XWIND BACK INTO THE TFC PATTERN. AFTER THE L TURN I REQUESTED THE NAME OF MY GOD SENT GND ASSISTANT TO WHICH HE REPLIED MR X, AND THAT HE WOULD MEET ME AT XX00 AM AT THE RESTAURANT IF I WANTED HIS NAME AND THE OTHER PLANE'S IDENT. I ACCEPTED OVER THE RADIO. THROUGH ALL THIS CONVERSATION THERE WAS NO REPLY FROM THE OTHER ACFT. MY LOW WING ACFT IS A TANDEM TWO PLACE, PILOTED FROM THE REAR SEAT. SEVERAL QUALIFIED WITNESSES ON THE GND OFFERED THEIR NAMES FOR TESTIMONY.
