Narrative:

Climbing to FL330. All of a sudden ATC asks if we will meet altitude restr (level FL330, 115 NM southeast mem). We were never given any altitude restr. We are positive about that. ATC says we were. They are wrong. ATC turned us. We passed other aircraft 1000 ft and about 8 mi laterally.
