Narrative:

We had a bird strike over runway 30L at stl about 100 ft AGL. The bird entered the left engine and we lost about 30-40% torque. We declared an emergency and returned to stl without further incident. On postflt inspection, the left engine showed evidence of a bird strike and the first compressor blades were damaged.

Title: FLC OF A BRITISH JETSTREAM, BAE3100 (BA31), DECLARED AN EMER AND RETURNED TO LAND OVERWT DUE TO LOSS OF PWR IN L ENG CAUSED BY A BIRD STRIKE JUST AFTER TKOF IN AN INITIAL CLB.
