Narrative:

After crossing over mobile bay, I checked fuel. The right tank was on empty and left tank indicated 1/4 of a tank. I was at 2500 ft, then descended below clouds to 1200 ft. I cleared the clouds then proceeded to climb back to 2500 ft and the engine began to lose power. I checked instruments. The gas lever was on both, I moved it to the left tank. I called mayday indicating location. At 300 ft I turned off the engine and made a forced landing in a cow pasture. No injuries were sustained. There was no propeller strike or damage to the plane.
