Narrative:

The event review team requested suggestions/techniques regarding the recent group of S80 lndgs without clearance. My idea is, once you are cleared to land and only then, turn the landing light/nose to bright/brt. This is regardless of where the aircraft is on the approach -- inside/outside that FAF, landing gear up/down, IFR/VFR. Scatterback is worth the price of a confirmed landing clearance -- downwind or through the 90 degree. Another idea is to rearrange the present landing checklist by making a large space to read flap/slat/tail or flap/slat/tail deice. This would leave the final light blank for cleared to land.
