Narrative:

Aircraft arrived with captain's rising runway display malfunction on attitude/direction indicator. Part was replaced per applicable maintenance manual and CAT ii requirement for land. Verify was performed to maintain CAT ii status. Aircraft passed all tests/function checks as needed, and released by technician. Postdep, checking training record for CAT ii qualifications, due date of requalification was apr/xa/98, not ten days later, as perceived by technician performing work. Aircraft operated on flight should have been not CAT ii due to expired qualification of technician. Maintenance control was notified and aircraft was met at arrival to have land verify requirement re-performed and aircraft status changed or maintained, as applicable.
