Narrative:
The tdwr at mci is once again OTS without any known cause. There is a major winter storm in our area today and tonight calling for snow, rain and possible windshear. The FAA pays a lot for this equipment that when needed most, simply doesn't work.

Title: ATCT TWR LCL CTLR CONCERNED WITH RECURRENT OUTAGE OF TDWR EQUIP, ESPECIALLY DURING STORM WX CONDITIONS.
Narrative: THE TDWR AT MCI IS ONCE AGAIN OTS WITHOUT ANY KNOWN CAUSE. THERE IS A MAJOR WINTER STORM IN OUR AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT CALLING FOR SNOW, RAIN AND POSSIBLE WINDSHEAR. THE FAA PAYS A LOT FOR THIS EQUIP THAT WHEN NEEDED MOST, SIMPLY DOESN'T WORK.
