Proceeding on norwich, I arrived into boston. After passing providence while tracking outbound, center asked us to confirm our altitude of 11000 ft. We then requested the current altitude setting because we were level at 11000 ft. After setting the current altitude, we realized our error.

Title: FLC OF A DC9-30 FORGOT TO RESET THEIR ALTIMETER DURING DSCNT RESULTING IN NOT LEVELING OFF ON STAR PROC ALT. ATC INTERVENED INQUIRING ABOUT THEIR ALT CAUSING THE CREW TO RESET ALTIMETER AND REGAIN ALT.

Narrative: PROCEEDING ON NORWICH, I ARRIVED INTO BOSTON. AFTER PASSING PROVIDENCE WHILE TRACKING OUTBOUND, CTR ASKED US TO CONFIRM OUR ALT OF 11000 FT. WE THEN REQUESTED THE CURRENT ALT SETTING BECAUSE WE WERE LEVEL AT 11000 FT. AFTER SETTING THE CURRENT ALT, WE REALIZED OUR ERROR.
