Narrative:
Flight on mar/wed/98, was cleared for the approach runway 25L at lax after arnes. There was a cell between fuelr and gaate. We deviated 1 mi south of course and took up a heading to reintercept final approach course. While correcting socal approach called, 'cancel approach clearance, turn right 280 degrees, intercept localizer, maintain 3000 ft.' this came approximately 4 mi prior to limma 'confirm level at 3500 ft.' we were at 3000 ft, socal, 'roger that.' we talked to socal on ground, we weren't requested to call. They (socal) had no inputs or noticed nothing off this difference.

Title: AN ACR PAX FLT DSNDS ON GS RWY 25L AT LAX WHILE DEVIATING OFF THE LOC COURSE 1 MI TO THE S FOR WX.
Narrative: FLT ON MAR/WED/98, WAS CLRED FOR THE APCH RWY 25L AT LAX AFTER ARNES. THERE WAS A CELL BTWN FUELR AND GAATE. WE DEVIATED 1 MI S OF COURSE AND TOOK UP A HEADING TO REINTERCEPT FINAL APCH COURSE. WHILE CORRECTING SOCAL APCH CALLED, 'CANCEL APCH CLRNC, TURN R 280 DEGS, INTERCEPT LOC, MAINTAIN 3000 FT.'
