Narrative:

Takeoff altimeter setting 30.32. Pilots did not reset to 29.92 climbing through FL180. Leveled off at FL310 on altimeter. After resetting, actual altitude was FL306, climbed to FL310. No conflicts noted. Corrective action is to complete the climb check, including resetting altimeter to FL180 29.92. Supplemental information from acn 396490: distraction by flight attendant and radio call passing FL180 and thus missed resetting altimeter at 29.92. Shortly after leveloff, center controller asked us to check our altimeter as we were a little off altitude.
