Narrative:

With minimum crew change time available, maintenance completed the installation of the right hand cockpit pilot seat. Maintenance finished installing the seat approximately 10 mins prior to scheduled departure. Maintenance retained the logbook to complete the paperwork. Air carrier flight xyz pushed back on time without the aircraft log on board. Departure from ZZZ occurred approximately 15 mins later. During climb vectors with ZZZ approach, crew realized aircraft logbook was not onboard and immediately returned to ZZZ.
