Narrative:

Aircraft was stopped short of gate awaiting for gate to open. Due to possible long delay before taxi, I made announcement to passenger to remain seated with seat belts fastened. I also said that if they have to (must) get up, please talk to flight attendants first. I said this knowing that some may have to go to bathroom due to long delays with the seat belt sign on. I'm sure I talked or mentioned this to flight attendants also. Perhaps a few mins later, we were cleared to continue taxi to the gate. A flight attendant then notified first officer that a passenger had gotten up or was up. I told the copilot since we were so close to the gate I'd taxi very slowly. This is the last that I heard of this story until flight attendants filed safety report without talking to us first. The flight attendant filing a safety report showed me of their concern for safety during this event, but they (the flight attendants) did not talk to us first to express their concerns. If they would have advocated more and kept us fully informed we could have worked closer as a team to resolve any safety concerns or miscoms.

Title: CAPT OF AN MLG TAXIES TO GATE AFTER GND HOLDING WHEN A PAX WAS OUT OF THE SEAT AND STANDING UP DURING THAT PART OF THE TAXI RESULTING IN CABIN ATTENDANT RPTING A SAFETY COMPLAINT TO THE COMPANY. THE CAPT WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT AFTER STARTING ON TO GATE AND DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE COMPLAINT UNTIL AFTER IT WAS FILED.

Narrative: ACFT WAS STOPPED SHORT OF GATE AWAITING FOR GATE TO OPEN. DUE TO POSSIBLE LONG DELAY BEFORE TAXI, I MADE ANNOUNCEMENT TO PAX TO REMAIN SEATED WITH SEAT BELTS FASTENED. I ALSO SAID THAT IF THEY HAVE TO (MUST) GET UP, PLEASE TALK TO FLT ATTENDANTS FIRST. I SAID THIS KNOWING THAT SOME MAY HAVE TO GO TO BATHROOM DUE TO LONG DELAYS WITH THE SEAT BELT SIGN ON. I'M SURE I TALKED OR MENTIONED THIS TO FLT ATTENDANTS ALSO. PERHAPS A FEW MINS LATER, WE WERE CLRED TO CONTINUE TAXI TO THE GATE. A FLT ATTENDANT THEN NOTIFIED FO THAT A PAX HAD GOTTEN UP OR WAS UP. I TOLD THE COPLT SINCE WE WERE SO CLOSE TO THE GATE I'D TAXI VERY SLOWLY. THIS IS THE LAST THAT I HEARD OF THIS STORY UNTIL FLT ATTENDANTS FILED SAFETY RPT WITHOUT TALKING TO US FIRST. THE FLT ATTENDANT FILING A SAFETY RPT SHOWED ME OF THEIR CONCERN FOR SAFETY DURING THIS EVENT, BUT THEY (THE FLT ATTENDANTS) DID NOT TALK TO US FIRST TO EXPRESS THEIR CONCERNS. IF THEY WOULD HAVE ADVOCATED MORE AND KEPT US FULLY INFORMED WE COULD HAVE WORKED CLOSER AS A TEAM TO RESOLVE ANY SAFETY CONCERNS OR MISCOMS.
