Narrative:

En route climb. We were climbing and cleared to 17000 ft, but due to icing at 17000 ft, asked for 15000 ft as our final. It was approved and told to climb and maintain 15000 ft. We forgot to reset altitude preselector to 15000 ft so aircraft was climbing to 17000 ft. We caught the mistake at 16300 ft and told the controller. He cleared us back down to 15000 ft.
