Narrative:

The tower cleared me for takeoff. As I was starting my takeoff roll, an aircraft reported traffic on the runway. The tower acknowledged and told the aircraft to go around and sidestep. After lift-off, the tower had me fly runway heading for about 30 seconds and then gave me a turn and had me contact departure. Before calling tower for takeoff clearance, I saw traffic on final, but estimated would be time for my departure. There might have been an overestimation of their distance out, or I might have taken more time on the runway than the tower thought I would. I did not do a rolling takeoff. Next time I will get a confirmation of the distance of aircraft on final, to verify the distance and make sure all parties are aware of the situation.

Narrative: THE TWR CLRED ME FOR TKOF. AS I WAS STARTING MY TKOF ROLL, AN ACFT RPTED TFC ON THE RWY. THE TWR ACKNOWLEDGED AND TOLD THE ACFT TO GAR AND SIDESTEP.
