Narrative:

Nose gear did not retract. Returned to cvg. Mechanics discovered proximity sensor inoperative. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was a canadair CL65 regional jet and the mechanics found a failed gear proximity sensor and also replaced a gear lock solenoid.

Title: A CANADAIR CL65 IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF DIVERTED DUE TO UNABLE TO RETRACT THE NOSE LNDG GEAR CAUSED BY A FAILED PROXIMITY SENSOR AND GEAR LOCK SOLENOID.

Narrative: NOSE GEAR DID NOT RETRACT. RETURNED TO CVG. MECHS DISCOVERED PROXIMITY SENSOR INOP. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ACFT WAS A CANADAIR CL65 REGIONAL JET AND THE MECHS FOUND A FAILED GEAR PROXIMITY SENSOR AND ALSO REPLACED A GEAR LOCK SOLENOID.
