Narrative:

Visual takeoff from dca. We may have entered the P-56 area. We briefed the departure plan well, I thought. First officer flying. Climbed after takeoff tower switched us to departure. (Only momentary distraction) turn started too late to follow the river. I urged a more aggressive turn. Should have: emphasized a more immediate and more aggressive turn after takeoff. Avoided momentary distraction switching departure. Discussed the westerly crosswind tending to blow us into P-56. 5 degree flap takeoff might be a better choice. Might: suggest to dca tower to delay handoff a couple of seconds until aircraft established in a turn.
