Narrative:

Aircraft was descending on civet arrival. Airspeed reduction was issued. To accomplish this, pitch mode was changed. Aircraft descended to 11600 ft prior to bremr. Aircraft was immediately climbed back to 12000 ft. No traffic was involved and ATC made no comment.
