Narrative:
Takeoff minimums confusion. One of the 3 RVR values was given below 600 ft on runway 10C upon checking our 'takeoff minimum cards.' (manual mar 94.) note X manual reads '2 of the 3 RVR reports required.' we interpreted this to mean only 2 RVR reports above 600 ft were required for takeoff. Further investigation revealed our operations specification had been mistakenly removed by revision xx-97. Thus the takeoff minimums card was our only reference.

Title: ACR MLG PERFORMS AN UNAUTH TKOF WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES. FLC HAD SOME CONFUSION IN THE COCKPIT REGARDING THE AUTH TKOF MINIMUMS AFTER REVIEWING THEIR REF CARDS. 3 RVR VALUES WERE GIVEN BUT THE CREW USED THE HIGHER 2 FOR TKOF AUTH.
