Narrative:

After landing on runway 22R at ord we contacted ground frequency and were told to taxi to the FBO via taxiway H, then a right onto runway 32R pad, then a right on taxiway a. While taxiing on taxiway H, I was completing my after landing checklist while my partner was taxiing. Somehow with my head down we missed the right turn on runway 32R pad and taxied across the approach end of runway 32R. We realized what we did and contacted ground for assistance. He redirected us to the FBO and asked us if we knew what we did. We responded with an affirmative, and it was left at that. I feel I should have waited to complete the after landing check and should have had my eyes looking outside, seeing that we were both unfamiliar with the field. I believe the next time I will hold off on the after landing check or until we know exactly where we are going.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 22R AT ORD WE CONTACTED GND FREQ AND WERE TOLD TO TAXI TO THE FBO VIA TXWY H, THEN A R ONTO RWY 32R PAD, THEN A R ON TXWY A. WHILE TAXIING ON TXWY H, I WAS COMPLETING MY AFTER LNDG CHKLIST WHILE MY PARTNER WAS TAXIING. SOMEHOW WITH MY HEAD DOWN WE MISSED THE R TURN ON RWY 32R PAD AND TAXIED ACROSS THE APCH END OF RWY 32R. WE REALIZED WHAT WE DID AND CONTACTED GND FOR ASSISTANCE. HE REDIRECTED US TO THE FBO AND ASKED US IF WE KNEW WHAT WE DID. WE RESPONDED WITH AN AFFIRMATIVE, AND IT WAS LEFT AT THAT. I FEEL I SHOULD HAVE WAITED TO COMPLETE THE AFTER LNDG CHK AND SHOULD HAVE HAD MY EYES LOOKING OUTSIDE, SEEING THAT WE WERE BOTH UNFAMILIAR WITH THE FIELD. I BELIEVE THE NEXT TIME I WILL HOLD OFF ON THE AFTER LNDG CHK OR UNTIL WE KNOW EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE GOING.
