Narrative:

Cleared by ground to taxi to runway 28 for takeoff. While completing before takeoff checklist, I looked up and noticed us rather close to runway 28, but didn't see a runway hold short line. I told tower we were ready for takeoff on runway 28 and they cleared us into position and hold. It is possible that we inadvertently crossed the runway hold short line. Tower made no mention of this and there were no aircraft landing on runway 28 at the time.

Narrative: CLRED BY GND TO TAXI TO RWY 28 FOR TKOF. WHILE COMPLETING BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST, I LOOKED UP AND NOTICED US RATHER CLOSE TO RWY 28, BUT DIDN'T SEE A RWY HOLD SHORT LINE. I TOLD TWR WE WERE READY FOR TKOF ON RWY 28 AND THEY CLRED US INTO POS AND HOLD. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT WE INADVERTENTLY CROSSED THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE. TWR MADE NO MENTION OF THIS AND THERE WERE NO ACFT LNDG ON RWY 28 AT THE TIME.
