Narrative:

While being vectored for a visual approach to runway 15 at bur, on handoff from socal to bur tower all communication was lost with bur tower. I initiated a go around, at which time I was given a steady green light from the tower, but since I was in a go around situation and not in a position for a safe landing, I continued the go around. After a landing was accomplished, I was told to call the tower on a landline and was told when I get a green light I must land -- no matter what. My flight condition was 'gear and flaps retracted.'
