Narrative:

After missing the VOR/DME runway 19 approach we were given instructions to return to aur VOR and hold as published. Since the VOR/DME runway 19 chart does not have a published hold we looked at 10-1 and en route charts with no luck. We proceeded direct to aur and held on the inbound course with right hand turns. The controller was very busy and we could not get in a word to question him. After holding awhile we noticed traffic approaching us at our altitude. We did not receive a 'TA' or 'RA' however it was clear that a conflict was going to occur. About this time the controller asked us to identify and issued some unintelligible instructions. We climbed 1000 ft and then received instructions to fly direct to santa intersection and hold again. After consulting all the charts for gua we found what we believe was our original clearance point to hold as published. I find it kind of ridiculous that the approach that we were flying was the only one without this published hold. Because of the large number of aircraft in the area communications were difficult to say the least.

Title: AN ACR B727 FLC WAS TOLD TO HOLD AFTER A GAR, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND A HOLDING PATTERN FOR AUR ON THEIR APCH PLATE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO QUESTION THE CTLR DUE TO FREQ CONGESTION. THEY HAD A TFC CONFLICT AND THEY CLBED TO EVADE. THEIR APCH PLATE WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT DID NOT DEPICT THE HOLDING PATTERN AT AUR.

Narrative: AFTER MISSING THE VOR/DME RWY 19 APCH WE WERE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO RETURN TO AUR VOR AND HOLD AS PUBLISHED. SINCE THE VOR/DME RWY 19 CHART DOES NOT HAVE A PUBLISHED HOLD WE LOOKED AT 10-1 AND ENRTE CHARTS WITH NO LUCK. WE PROCEEDED DIRECT TO AUR AND HELD ON THE INBOUND COURSE WITH R HAND TURNS. THE CTLR WAS VERY BUSY AND WE COULD NOT GET IN A WORD TO QUESTION HIM. AFTER HOLDING AWHILE WE NOTICED TFC APCHING US AT OUR ALT. WE DID NOT RECEIVE A 'TA' OR 'RA' HOWEVER IT WAS CLR THAT A CONFLICT WAS GOING TO OCCUR. ABOUT THIS TIME THE CTLR ASKED US TO IDENT AND ISSUED SOME UNINTELLIGIBLE INSTRUCTIONS. WE CLBED 1000 FT AND THEN RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS TO FLY DIRECT TO SANTA INTXN AND HOLD AGAIN. AFTER CONSULTING ALL THE CHARTS FOR GUA WE FOUND WHAT WE BELIEVE WAS OUR ORIGINAL CLRNC POINT TO HOLD AS PUBLISHED. I FIND IT KIND OF RIDICULOUS THAT THE APCH THAT WE WERE FLYING WAS THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT THIS PUBLISHED HOLD. BECAUSE OF THE LARGE NUMBER OF ACFT IN THE AREA COMS WERE DIFFICULT TO SAY THE LEAST.
