Narrative:

Unsafe gear indication resulted in emergency declaration with uneventful landing. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was an airbus A320 and the only maintenance information on the corrective action is not complete. The reporter said the airplane was OTS for 3 days, 2 landing gear control interface unit computers were replaced and some wiring repaired or replaced. The reporter stated that the logbook gave no indication of previous landing gear indication problems.

Title: AN AIRBUS A320 ON FINAL APCH DECLARED AN EMER DUE TO A LNDG GEAR POS UNSAFE WARNING INDICATION.

Narrative: UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION RESULTED IN EMER DECLARATION WITH UNEVENTFUL LNDG. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ACFT WAS AN AIRBUS A320 AND THE ONLY MAINT INFO ON THE CORRECTIVE ACTION IS NOT COMPLETE. THE RPTR SAID THE AIRPLANE WAS OTS FOR 3 DAYS, 2 LNDG GEAR CTL INTERFACE UNIT COMPUTERS WERE REPLACED AND SOME WIRING REPAIRED OR REPLACED. THE RPTR STATED THAT THE LOGBOOK GAVE NO INDICATION OF PREVIOUS LNDG GEAR INDICATION PROBS.
