Narrative:

We inadvertently received a clearance to bwi instead of dca, and we used a wrong flight number to what should have been dca. We caught our mix-up about 10 mins into the flight from orf to dca by the controller asking us where we were cleared to and our destination. We had set up the flight computer to the correct routing to dca and were on it but center thought our destination was bwi not dca. I recall when I received clearance (on ground at orf) the controller read back 'cleared to baltimore/washington airport' etc and I didn't think nothing of it at the time. We did flight xb from orf-bwi the day before, we should have received flight plan for flight xa orf- dca. Both of these leave within 15 mins of each other and are very similar in routings. Flight crew and controller caught the mix-up and he changed our destination to dca and we continued with the same flight number.

Title: FLC OF A DEHAVILLAND DASH 8 FORGOT AND USED ANOTHER COMPANY TRIP CALL SIGN WHEN RECEIVING CLRNC RESULTING IN ATC ROUTING TO A DIFFERENT DEST THAN PLANNED. THE FLC WERE USING THE ROUTING PLANNED FOR THEIR ACTUAL DEST, THEREFORE, ATC JUST CHANGED WHAT THEY SHOWED FOR THE CLRNC ROUTING.

Narrative: WE INADVERTENTLY RECEIVED A CLRNC TO BWI INSTEAD OF DCA, AND WE USED A WRONG FLT NUMBER TO WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DCA. WE CAUGHT OUR MIX-UP ABOUT 10 MINS INTO THE FLT FROM ORF TO DCA BY THE CTLR ASKING US WHERE WE WERE CLRED TO AND OUR DEST. WE HAD SET UP THE FLT COMPUTER TO THE CORRECT ROUTING TO DCA AND WERE ON IT BUT CTR THOUGHT OUR DEST WAS BWI NOT DCA. I RECALL WHEN I RECEIVED CLRNC (ON GND AT ORF) THE CTLR READ BACK 'CLRED TO BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON ARPT' ETC AND I DIDN'T THINK NOTHING OF IT AT THE TIME. WE DID FLT XB FROM ORF-BWI THE DAY BEFORE, WE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED FLT PLAN FOR FLT XA ORF- DCA. BOTH OF THESE LEAVE WITHIN 15 MINS OF EACH OTHER AND ARE VERY SIMILAR IN ROUTINGS. FLC AND CTLR CAUGHT THE MIX-UP AND HE CHANGED OUR DEST TO DCA AND WE CONTINUED WITH THE SAME FLT NUMBER.
