Narrative:

Was told by approach to contact tower at marker. Just about at the marker I asked PNF to get a wind check. Check was requested and given to us (by approach). As I touched down I realized we were still on approach and had not called tower. I use taxi position of nose light for 'cleared for approach.' landing position for 'cleared to land' reminder. At touchdown I glanced up and still saw taxi position. Because approach gave wind as requested, and I called for that at time changeover should have taken place, I distraction PNF.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG FAILED TO CONTACT TWR AT THE OM AS INSTRUCTED BY APCH AND LANDED WITHOUT TWR CLRNC.

Narrative: WAS TOLD BY APCH TO CONTACT TWR AT MARKER. JUST ABOUT AT THE MARKER I ASKED PNF TO GET A WIND CHK. CHK WAS REQUESTED AND GIVEN TO US (BY APCH). AS I TOUCHED DOWN I REALIZED WE WERE STILL ON APCH AND HAD NOT CALLED TWR. I USE TAXI POS OF NOSE LIGHT FOR 'CLRED FOR APCH.' LNDG POS FOR 'CLRED TO LAND' REMINDER. AT TOUCHDOWN I GLANCED UP AND STILL SAW TAXI POS. BECAUSE APCH GAVE WIND AS REQUESTED, AND I CALLED FOR THAT AT TIME CHANGEOVER SHOULD HAVE TAKEN PLACE, I DISTR PNF.
