Narrative:
Cleared runway -- told to use taxiway E-E9. Was debriefing new first officer on differences of flap 15 degree versus flap 30 degree or flap 40 degree lndgs as he had just performed his first. Missed taxiway E9 and did not have room to turn around. Simply waited till I could use taxiway E10. Prevention -- wait till I get to the gate so I can pay full attention.
