Narrative:
Due to low ceilings mkc approach vectored us for an approach into kansas city which added to our total flight time. Departing mkc, a long taxi and waiting in sequence to depart further increased our flight time. The cumulative effect was that we flew 8 hours and 22 mins in a 24 hour period. I believe the approach and long taxi time caused this.

Title: FLC OF B727 HAS DELAY ON APCH, THEN LONG TAXI AND WAIT FOR DEP RESULTING MORE THEN 8 HRS IN 24.
Narrative: DUE TO LOW CEILINGS MKC APCH VECTORED US FOR AN APCH INTO KANSAS CITY WHICH ADDED TO OUR TOTAL FLT TIME. DEPARTING MKC, A LONG TAXI AND WAITING IN SEQUENCE TO DEPART FURTHER INCREASED OUR FLT TIME. THE CUMULATIVE EFFECT WAS THAT WE FLEW 8 HRS AND 22 MINS IN A 24 HR PERIOD. I BELIEVE THE APCH AND LONG TAXI TIME CAUSED THIS.
