Narrative:

The situation was decreasing oil quantity during climb out of miami international airport, with eventual complete loss of oil in the #2 engine. The engine was shut down and all applicable checklist completed. A return to miami was decided with a normal approach and landing (single engine). Maintenance advised that we had a bad blowout seal possibly a result from a replaced generator the night before. The captain did an outstanding job of CRM with first officer, flight attendants and passenger. We worked together well as a team. (Added note: the captain did have 2 quarts added to the #2 engine prior to departure.)
