Narrative:

During taxi out, received message over ACARS that overweight/stop. Called dispatch/loads. Initial was we were 5000 pounds over. We became a problem for dfw ground control. Eventually got cleared to gate, had maintenance inspection done for overweight. 5 non revenue passenger removed. Taxied again. Again informed overweight for takeoff, but not taxi. We burned down gas to make weight. Bottom line, loads was behind from the get-go with multiple wrong information. I brought the operation to a halt at gate and worked with dispatch and loads to get the right information.
