Narrative:

Cleared for takeoff runway 28 at syr. As soon as we started our takeoff roll, tower said 'cancel your takeoff clearance.' we brought the aircraft to an immediate stop. We had rolled between 100-200 ft on runway 28. As we stopped, an aircraft landed on runway 32 approximately 200 ft in front of us. The approach end of runway 28 is approximately 600 ft from runway 32. We could not see the landing aircraft from our position on runway 28. We taxied back to the end of runway 28 for a normal and uneventful takeoff. Possibly tower thought the landing aircraft had already landed. We held in position for a long time before given clearance to takeoff. Tower did not seem concerned about the conflict, at least we didn't hear any concern in his voice or after the incident. Tower made no comments.
