Narrative:

I reported to republic tower at frg that I was 7 mi west of frg. He told me to report midfield for runway 32, right downwind. I made a right crosswind entry at about 1200 ft right over the numbers of the departure end of runway 32. The controller there chastised me for flying through the departure corridor for aircraft departing off runway 32. I did not think I was that low nor that it was an unsafe entry to the traffic pattern. He also claimed that I had reported 7 mi east of the field instead of west which was not true. I did not argue with the guy as it was not the time nor the place, but knowing the despicable FAA inspectors who are based there, I thought I had better file this report.

Narrative: I RPTED TO REPUBLIC TWR AT FRG THAT I WAS 7 MI W OF FRG. HE TOLD ME TO RPT MIDFIELD FOR RWY 32, R DOWNWIND. I MADE A R XWIND ENTRY AT ABOUT 1200 FT RIGHT OVER THE NUMBERS OF THE DEP END OF RWY 32. THE CTLR THERE CHASTISED ME FOR FLYING THROUGH THE DEP CORRIDOR FOR ACFT DEPARTING OFF RWY 32. I DID NOT THINK I WAS THAT LOW NOR THAT IT WAS AN UNSAFE ENTRY TO THE TFC PATTERN. HE ALSO CLAIMED THAT I HAD RPTED 7 MI E OF THE FIELD INSTEAD OF W WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. I DID NOT ARGUE WITH THE GUY AS IT WAS NOT THE TIME NOR THE PLACE, BUT KNOWING THE DESPICABLE FAA INSPECTORS WHO ARE BASED THERE, I THOUGHT I HAD BETTER FILE THIS RPT.
