Narrative:

On sep/xa/97 at approximately XA00Z we were on the descent into sfo. We had filed and been cleared as filed from our departure airport ict. An IFR flight plan was filed as ict direct mod for the lockr 1 arrival into sfo. When we were past mod we were cleared to the cedes intersection. Looking at the arrival that we had been cleared we could not find the cedes intersection. We told approach that we could not find the intersection on the arrival plate and asked to please spell it. The controller spelled it for us and we put it in the FMS, and backed it up with the radial inbound. We were almost on top on the intersection when asked to proceed direct to cedes. When taxiing into the FBO at sfo we were asked to copy down a phone number and call when we shut down. We called the number and it was to bay approach. The captain was speaking to the supervisor at bay approach. When the captain got off the phone he said that the controller wanted to know why we were not on the mod arrival into sfo. The captain said that we were never given that arrival into sfo, that we were cleared as filed, which was the lockr 1 arrival. The captain asked if there were any conflicts and he was told no, but they just wanted to know what we had been cleared for. At no time do we recall we were given a different arrival or were asked to copy a different clearance. At no time did we have any TCASII alert and the controller was asked if there had been a conflict of any type and he stated not at any time.
