Narrative:

An F100 arrived at my station on a through flight with #2 autoplt on MEL. Pilot wrote up #1 autoplt disengaged and would not re-engage. I am not CAT qualified. I performed afcas maintenance test, no fault noted. Tech center said to sign off logbook as performed afcas maintenance test. No faults noted. I did so and dispatched aircraft. I feel that the logbook entry was not correct nor the autoplt test sufficient.
