Narrative:

VFR flight in good WX. Navigation using pilotage, map. As dark approached, lost track of reference marks on ground. Possibly violated fort hood restr airspace or gray army airfield airspace. Finally recognized gray army airfield and highway 190 and returned to home airport. I was approximately 30 mi south of my intended flight path. It took approximately 30 extra mins for my return trip (1.8 instead of 1.2). Once I realized I was lost, I headed for the nearest large city, which may have led me to violate restr airspace.
