Narrative:

Aircraft was cleared to cross loves intersection at 6000 ft. I was flying at 11000 ft, 39 mi from intersection. Prior to starting descent, we discussed the WX at loves, questions on release and WX at jfk. We were distraction by this discussion and failed to start descent in time to cross loves at the assigned altitude. Controller gave us a 360 degree turn in order to meet our crossing restr. The discussion was pertinent to the flight, however, I should not have let the discussion distract me from flying the aircraft.
