Narrative:

We missed our turn at cefor intersection to go direct to crl and were accidentally proceeding to peck. If I had set up carleton with an approximately intersection it might have helped us catch our mistake. Taking better note of the DME location of cefor would also have helped. Center notified us we had passed cefor when he asked how we were filed. He then cleared us direct to carleton. Some of the confusion arose due to previously flying this route with an assigned route of V320 peck then carleton. Supplemental information from acn 377230: missed turn at cefor intersection to go direct to crl and were accidentally proceeding to peck. I was using an area navigation chart instead of the en route low altitude chart and cefor was not on it.

Title: AN ACR MLG FLC MISS A TURN WHILE NAVING IN FOREIGN AIRSPACE. THE ARTCC CTLR CORRECTS THEM.

Narrative: WE MISSED OUR TURN AT CEFOR INTXN TO GO DIRECT TO CRL AND WERE ACCIDENTALLY PROCEEDING TO PECK. IF I HAD SET UP CARLETON WITH AN APPROX INTXN IT MIGHT HAVE HELPED US CATCH OUR MISTAKE. TAKING BETTER NOTE OF THE DME LOCATION OF CEFOR WOULD ALSO HAVE HELPED. CTR NOTIFIED US WE HAD PASSED CEFOR WHEN HE ASKED HOW WE WERE FILED. HE THEN CLRED US DIRECT TO CARLETON. SOME OF THE CONFUSION AROSE DUE TO PREVIOUSLY FLYING THIS RTE WITH AN ASSIGNED RTE OF V320 PECK THEN CARLETON. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 377230: MISSED TURN AT CEFOR INTXN TO GO DIRECT TO CRL AND WERE ACCIDENTALLY PROCEEDING TO PECK. I WAS USING AN AREA NAV CHART INSTEAD OF THE ENRTE LOW ALT CHART AND CEFOR WAS NOT ON IT.
