Narrative:
The takeoff and departure from panc using runway 24R was confusing. Clearance gave a departure name, but nothing was published on it. On takeoff, requested a departure to big lake VOR. Tower agreed. While turning right to big lake, tower informed I was to stay east of runway 32/14 as described in a local departure procedure. My understanding was I was cleared direct big lake from tower.

Narrative: THE TKOF AND DEP FROM PANC USING RWY 24R WAS CONFUSING. CLRNC GAVE A DEP NAME, BUT NOTHING WAS PUBLISHED ON IT. ON TKOF, REQUESTED A DEP TO BIG LAKE VOR. TWR AGREED. WHILE TURNING R TO BIG LAKE, TWR INFORMED I WAS TO STAY E OF RWY 32/14 AS DESCRIBED IN A LCL DEP PROC. MY UNDERSTANDING WAS I WAS CLRED DIRECT BIG LAKE FROM TWR.
