Narrative:

Upon receiving aircraft crew started APU and turned on air- conditioning. Smoke filled the cabin shortly thereafter. APU shutdown and maintenance advised. Maintenance idents problem and dispatches aircraft with APU inoperative. Crew boards passenger, and engine start, taxi, takeoff uneventful. At about 1000 ft AGL an oily smell is detected and smoke begins to thicken in cabin. Crew elects to return to field, coordinates with ATC, effects uneventful return to base. One passenger requests emergency oxygen and receives paramedic attention after arrival at gate. Crew made swift decisions, return to base immediately/abnormal or emergency procedure not conducted in favor of immediate return to base.

Title: A COMMERCIAL FIXED WING MLG ACFT IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO AN OILY SMELL AND SMOKE IN THE CABIN CAUSED BY THE APU LEAKING OIL INTO THE AIR- CONDITIONING DUCTS.
