Narrative:

Cleared for takeoff on runway 8 (080 degrees) after a commuter (BAC146). Acknowledged takeoff clearance and took off, copilot flying. Tower instructed us to call departure, which we did. Departure gave us a heading of 095 degrees to intercept the airway. The BAC146 was kept in visual contact the entire time and we never received any TCASII warnings. We were always well above and to the right of the BAC146. The problem is that the tower said that they gave us a heading of 095 degrees with the takeoff clearance, which neither my copilot nor I heard. When given a heading with a takeoff clearance, I always repeat it back and set the new heading in the MCP. Possibly a readback of all changed headings and altitudes should be required.

Title: B777 ACFT WAS GIVEN A HDG CHANGE BY DEP CTLR AFTER TKOF AND TOLD RPTR CAPT THAT TWR CTLR HAD CLRED THEM TO MAINTAIN A 095 DEG HDG. BOTH PLTS OF THE FLC SAY THEY RECEIVED NO SUCH HDG CLRNC FROM TWR.

Narrative: CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 8 (080 DEGS) AFTER A COMMUTER (BAC146). ACKNOWLEDGED TKOF CLRNC AND TOOK OFF, COPLT FLYING. TWR INSTRUCTED US TO CALL DEP, WHICH WE DID. DEP GAVE US A HDG OF 095 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THE AIRWAY. THE BAC146 WAS KEPT IN VISUAL CONTACT THE ENTIRE TIME AND WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY TCASII WARNINGS. WE WERE ALWAYS WELL ABOVE AND TO THE R OF THE BAC146. THE PROB IS THAT THE TWR SAID THAT THEY GAVE US A HDG OF 095 DEGS WITH THE TKOF CLRNC, WHICH NEITHER MY COPLT NOR I HEARD. WHEN GIVEN A HDG WITH A TKOF CLRNC, I ALWAYS REPEAT IT BACK AND SET THE NEW HDG IN THE MCP. POSSIBLY A READBACK OF ALL CHANGED HDGS AND ALTS SHOULD BE REQUIRED.
