Narrative:

Location: dfw airport. As power was applied for takeoff and the takeoff roll started, #1 and #2 fuel flow indicators began to fluctuate wildly, 3000-4000 pounds/hour. Captain decided to reject the takeoff at 100 KTS, brakes were applied gently at 90 KTS and airplane stopped with plenty of runway remaining. Brake cooling chart was consulted and cooling time and maintenance inspection on the brakes was complied with. Fuel flow problem was diagnosed by maintenance and the fuel flow power supply was replaced. Operations checked normal and flight was continued to ind without incident.

Title: CAPT OF A B727 ABORTED TKOF DUE TO THE #1 AND #2 ENG FUEL FLOW INDICATORS FLUCTUATING WILDLY. FLC RETURNED TO THE GATE FOR BRAKE COOLING AND COMPANY MAINT INSPECTION OF FUEL FLOW PROB.

Narrative: LOCATION: DFW ARPT. AS PWR WAS APPLIED FOR TKOF AND THE TKOF ROLL STARTED, #1 AND #2 FUEL FLOW INDICATORS BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE WILDLY, 3000-4000 LBS/HR. CAPT DECIDED TO REJECT THE TKOF AT 100 KTS, BRAKES WERE APPLIED GENTLY AT 90 KTS AND AIRPLANE STOPPED WITH PLENTY OF RWY REMAINING. BRAKE COOLING CHART WAS CONSULTED AND COOLING TIME AND MAINT INSPECTION ON THE BRAKES WAS COMPLIED WITH. FUEL FLOW PROB WAS DIAGNOSED BY MAINT AND THE FUEL FLOW PWR SUPPLY WAS REPLACED. OPS CHKED NORMAL AND FLT WAS CONTINUED TO IND WITHOUT INCIDENT.
