Approximately 15 NM northeast of drk VOR at FL370 en route to san, we began a divert to phx due to in-flight medical emergency with elderly passenger. We did not declare an emergency but did ask for and receive priority handling, as well as a clearance to exceed 250 KTS below 10000 ft. Uneventful approach and landing phx.
